Anomia is a narrative-driven game that opens with a class of twenty-eight students gathered in front of a mysterious portal. This is no ordinary school day. The portal will only accept a single person, and the class has to decide among themselves who that will be. When the votes are counted, the choice falls on the one classmate most of the room can barely name, a quiet figure who has spent his school life unnoticed. That opening scene sets the tone for everything that follows. Rather than telling a heroic tale about a chosen one, the game follows someone his peers have already given up on and pushed through a door none of them wanted to walk through. The central idea is survival and self-definition after rejection. The protagonist is cut off from the familiar world and treated as disposable, so he has to work out who he is once nobody expects anything from him. The setting beyond the portal is unknown and full of uncertainty, and that gives the story plenty of room for discovery and personal change.

The gameplay follows the protagonist’s journey after the vote, and the story moves forward through scenes, conversations and choices that shape how he reacts to his new circumstances. The first minutes cover the setup, and the rest of the experience looks at what a forgotten person does with a second chance nobody meant to give him. Progression comes from the story, as the player learns more about the world on the other side of the portal and about the classmates who sent him there. Relationships, decisions and personal growth sit at the center of the experience, and moments of reflection sit alongside tense encounters and unexpected turns. The contrast between the student nobody remembered and the person he could become drives the pacing, so each chapter builds on the last. The game is still in active development, and new content extends the story and adds more of the protagonist’s path over time. Anomia is a character-focused story about being overlooked and cast aside, and about what happens when someone written off from the start decides to keep going on his own terms.
