CONTROL Resonant is a supernatural action adventure and the follow-up to the acclaimed CONTROL. The story centers on Dylan Faden, who spent years locked away as a test subject of the Federal Bureau of Control, a secret agency that studies and contains paranatural events. When a disaster breaks out of the Bureau’s headquarters, the Oldest House, and spreads into Manhattan, Dylan is released into a city that no longer follows normal rules. A vast cosmic entity is rewriting reality, twisting streets and skylines into strange new shapes. At the same time, the hostile Hiss and a creeping fungal growth known as the Mold are spreading through every district. Dylan is given the job of pushing back against this entity with powers he is only starting to understand. Along the way he searches for his sister Jesse, now Director of the Bureau, whose lockdown has failed. The first game followed Jesse into the Oldest House, and this chapter follows Dylan out into the wider world.

The action takes place across several large zones of a ruined Manhattan. Gravity anomalies there can turn walls into floors and bend the layout of a space, which adds new angles to both puzzles and combat.
