Domino Beach Steam Pre-Installed
Domino Beach is a story driven adult visual novel that unfolds in a sun bleached coastal city built on surf culture, boardwalk nightlife and the promise of an easier life. Its protagonist is an ambitious newcomer who moves there chasing a brighter future, only to watch that plan collapse almost immediately: the job he was counting on disappears, and shortly afterwards his landlord puts him out on the street with little more than the clothes he is wearing. A chance encounter hands him one narrow path back up, an opening on the city lifeguard crew, though the selection trials are only a week away and the competition takes them seriously. Those seven days form the spine of the story. Wrapped around them are the distractions the town is famous for, confident local women, reckless surfers, all night parties and drink flowing freely, and every hour spent on one of them is an hour not spent earning a place on the tower.

The experience is driven by conversation and decision making rather than action. Time is the central resource: each day is divided into segments, and the protagonist decides how to spend them, training on the sand to build the endurance and swimming skill the trials demand, picking up odd work to cover food and a place to sleep, or following one of the many personal storylines running through the area. Attributes improve through repeated effort, and higher stats unlock dialogue options and scenes that stay closed to an unprepared character. A recurring cast carries individual relationship tracks that deepen or sour depending on how they are treated, with branching threads that can end warmly, awkwardly or nowhere at all. Locations open up gradually, from the pier and the surf shop to bars, beach houses and private apartments, each tied to particular characters and events. Hand drawn artwork, animated sequences and a relaxed soundtrack carry the tone throughout. The result is a light hearted, choice heavy slice of coastal life in which discipline and indulgence are constantly pulling in opposite directions.
