Happy Wheels Steam Pre-Installed
Happy Wheels is a side scrolling sandbox built entirely around ragdoll physics and dark slapstick humor. Players take control of a cast of hopelessly ill equipped characters, from an elderly man in a motorized wheelchair to a father hauling his son on a bicycle, and attempt to steer them through obstacle courses designed with very little regard for human anatomy. The premise is deliberately absurd: every run becomes a race between forward momentum and catastrophic injury, and the game renders the results in gruesome comic detail. Limbs detach, riders are flung from their vehicles, and the course usually keeps running without them. What has kept the title alive for years is not a story or a structured campaign but its community. Millions of player built levels form the actual content, ranging from precise platforming challenges to elaborate traps, puzzle contraptions and pure nonsense, all of it uploaded, browsed and ranked by the same people who made it.

Control is intentionally awkward. Each character comes with a unique vehicle and a small set of unremarkable abilities, such as leaning, ejecting from a seat or firing a harpoon, and clearing a course means learning how weight, balance and momentum behave under the physics engine rather than memorizing a button sequence. Progress comes from persistence: a level is attempted, failed and retried until the correct line through the hazards finally becomes obvious. The built in level editor sits at the heart of the package, handing creators the same tools behind the original content, including moving parts, triggers, joints and scripted traps, with direct sharing once a design is finished. An interactive browser sorts incoming submissions by popularity, rating and date, so fresh uploads and long forgotten archives are equally reachable. Supporting features include achievements and tracked statistics, controller support, offline downloads for sessions without a connection, and account linking so a single profile carries across multiple machines. The result is a chaotic, endlessly restocked physics playground that trades polish for creativity and consequence.
