My Happy Life is a Japanese-styled visual novel that follows Kevin, an ordinary man whose life ends abruptly in a traffic collision and begins again somewhere else entirely. Reborn into an unfamiliar world through what seems to be a cosmic clerical error, he wakes with no recollection of who he used to be or how he arrived. The only thing he has is a fresh start and a strange sense that nothing around him quite adds up. As he settles into his new circumstances, Kevin finds himself surrounded almost entirely by women: teachers who take an interest in his schooling, classmates who pull him into their daily routines, and doctors and nurses who look after him during his recovery. Each of them carries her own personality, history and reasons for getting close to him. The central question the story poses is a simple one with complicated answers, namely whether a second life handed to someone by accident can actually be turned into a happy one.
