Professional Ship Simulator Steam Pre-Installed
Professional Ship Simulator is a large scale maritime simulation aimed at players who prefer authentic procedure over arcade shortcuts. Every vessel in the game is run through detailed control systems modelled on the way real ships actually operate, so handling a hull means understanding propulsion, navigation equipment and the constant pull of wind, current and tide rather than simply steering toward a marker. The simulation models hydrodynamics in depth, covering propeller torque, bank effect, drift caused by weather and current, anchor behaviour and the tension carried by mooring lines. Onboard machinery is simulated as well, from power generation and transmission through to radar with AIS and CPA readouts, sonar and radio traffic. Hulls can take damage and flood, and larger ships include wing control stations for close quarters work alongside towing and mooring interactions. The result is a demanding, procedure driven experience where competence at sea is earned through awareness and careful control.

Conditions shift constantly, with a full day and night cycle running alongside dynamic weather that can optionally draw on real world data, pushing storm fronts, shifting currents and changing sea states across the map, with fog, rain, snow and heavy swell all altering speed, stability and visibility. AI shipping keeps the lanes and harbour approaches busy, so traffic separation and close quarters manoeuvring matter as much as the weather. Progression begins with guided tutorials before opening into structured contracts that pay credits toward licences and new tonnage, taking a small harbour operator up to a professional command. The fleet spans tugboats, fishing trawlers, rescue craft, offshore vessels, yachts, container ships, bulk carriers, LNG tankers and cruise liners. Two regions built from real geographic data, the island of Ruegen and the Strait of Dover, supply more than forty harbours plus seamarks and navigation lights, and the tile based map system is designed to be extended. Work ranges from cargo runs and ferry routes to sonar fishing, offshore logistics, buoy maintenance, towage, firefighting and search and rescue. Modding support for custom ships, missions and scenery is planned. Taken together, it is a detailed, systems led take on life at sea.
