Enter ATLYSS, a strange world thriving with creatures and critters. With the outside realm and dungeons deep ahead, there will be plenty of locations to explore and discover. Fighter The melee warrior class that deals devastating damage and threat. Mystic – The caster class that evokes arcane magic to their advantage. Bandit – The acrobatic mercenary class, experts of ranged weapons and quick melee weaponry. ATLYSS is made around net-play, but can also be played offline as well with no opportunities or features lost. Make your character with five races to choose from, with color, head, and body sliders. All of your character progression data is saved locally and easily accessed within the game’s data directory. Party up with friends and take on quests to kill creatures, discover new locations, and help the last remaining safe haven of the world. The art style beautifully captures the nostalgic charm of early 3D gaming, evoking memories of the PS1 and early PS2 days. The character creation system is impressively detailed, allowing for endless customization of your furry freak. However, it does lean heavily into exaggerated body proportions, which might appeal to some players (like me) but could be off-putting for others. Thankfully, the game offers settings to tone down these features and disable certain physics for a more neutral experience. The quests are enjoyable, though they can feel a bit repetitive at times. By level 14, most tasks revolve around objectives like “defeat X enemies and collect items” or “take down a mini-boss.” While the variety could be improved, the dynamic movement and RPG inspired skill systems keep gameplay engaging.

Adding friends to your party elevates the experience, making combat and exploration even more fun. I have childhood nostalgia for pso. I grabbed this on a whim and started a public server called NewAndLowLevelPlayers or something. Someone named Juude immediately joined and asked to tag along, patiently answering all of my questions. Juude and a dozen other new and veteran players of the community filed through over the course of the next few hours. Everyone was just nice and only talking about the game and helping each other enjoy this cool weird thing they liked. Im excited for the future of this game.
