Will she survive the night to tell another story First-person Horror, mystery genre. Atmospheric environment and photo-realistic graphics up to 4k resolution. Rich in story, ability to pickup notes to learn more about the lore. Solving mind-bending puzzles to enhance the gameplay with the story. The player may need to backtrack a few times in order to complete given objectives. Player voice and interaction with the objects. A collection of achievements and easter eggs to achieve.
I enjoyed this game! The story is interesting, I just wished it went on longer and I was a bit confused about the ending. The jump scares got me though! I loved how beautiful the atmosphere in the game was. Overall, the developers deserve to be acknowledged for all their hard work. I recommend this game. If you don’t like it, you need to state a reason why, you can’t just say crappy things about a game developer when you can’t do any better. It is hard to make a review on a game that really needs to be experienced with as little knowledge about it as possible because Mouthwashing, if anything it is a piece of art that shows how videogames can do some things in the storytelling department that other forms of narrative art simply can’t.

There is power in telling some stories from a first person perspective, even if it’s a linear one like this one, and that is what Mouthwashing is all about. I recommend it to experience it with a blank slate, knowing as little as possible and with an open mind. You can only play this once, so why waste it? Just barely a step above walking sim gameplay wise, but the presentation is stellar. I didn’t really find it as earth shattering as some others have, but it is a really solid well told story. Makes me very interested to see what the devs make next, especially if it has more in the way of actual gameplay.
