About The Game
Shadow Tactics is a hardcore tactical stealth game set in Japan around the Edo period. Take control of a team of deadly specialists and sneak in the shadows between dozens of enemies. Choose your approach when infiltrating mighty castles, snowy mountain monasteries or hidden forest camps. Set traps, poison your opponents or completely avoid enemy contact. The group is composed of very different personalities. Working together as a team seems impossible at first. Yet over the course of many missions, trust is won and friendships are made. The characters develop their own dynamic and each member will have to face their own personal demons. One of the leaders of this team is Hayato, an agile ninja, who clears the way through his enemies silently, with his sword and shuriken. Samurai Mugen prefers a more powerful approach and can defeat more fiends at one time, but thus also forfeiting flexibility. Aiko is a master of camouflage when she distracts enemies disguised as a Geisha. And the street child Yuki places traps and decoys enemies towards their deadly fate. The mysterious marksman Takuma however, relies on his sniper rifle and takes care of the enemies from a distance.
The player has to carefully evaluate his options in order to master the challenging missions: how will the characters behave as a team? Which one is best equipped for each task? How can they best master the given missions? Come up with your own ingenious tactics to vanquish enemies and complete missions. The whole gameplay is about completing your missions without being caught by the guards, Which sometimes looks difficult because of their placement, movement, view range, and ranks, But there is many ways to overcome It, Since You will have different characters with each one having unique tools and abilities including the environment for You to use to Your advantage, You can use it to distract or lure the guards to you, So you can pick them off one by one then dispose off the bodies by hiding it or throwing it off a cliff which is not always necessary or you could just sneak around them plus you can use other measures that will make it look like an accident, which is great since you won’t be locked to one solution so if you either try to be serious or do goofy stuff you will still success and even if you get caught you can still try to go out of sight again but there will be more guards than before for your sloppiness.
This game might look difficult at first but it quite simple, Even if the map look so big and there is a huge number of guards, It will still be possible by taking your time to think about the next best step to do or just try anything that comes to your mind until you do it eventually but I do really suggest using your brain more so it doesn’t become frustrating, Also the game will introduce more enemy classes and environment to make the game harder so it can be more fun and less repetitive, There is 3 difficulties in the game but the only difference between them is the Hp, Detecting time, ammo which is kinda disappointing because I expected the guards would have different spots and be bigger in numbers and maybe a new enemy class but then remembered that the places are really big so I guess it would really take a long time to do such a thing so I can see why it ain’t that much different. It simple, The Shogun becomes the leader of japan and brought peace to it but then a rebellion is being planned against him to bring back war in japan, so a group of assassins are hired to stop that from happening, and it was great in my opinion with an interesting cast of characters and nice voice acting also I enjoyed the interaction between them during missions.
