Sakura Hime , after your nap in the spring, you slowly wake up. What comes into your eyesight are a foggy patio… and a girl who looks like a witch. What is ahead of you in this bizarre journey? Sometimes, she is quiet like a refined lady. At other times, she is brisk like a rabbit. As a deity, could a human read her mind. Liya is a girl who carries a “weapon” all the time. She has a wealth of knowledge but lacks practical experience. Even with her collection of knowledge, one question still bothers her. Why is Yan “blessed” by a deity.
At first I hated combat here, almost made me ragequit the game after 4 hours. Then I realiazed I was treating it wrong. I thought this game is something like latest Ys games: normal and special attacks and perfect dodges. Turnes out its more like usual party based JRPG: your attacks are very weak and dodges almost never work unless you activate your party member (SAS). The best thing about this game is the characters. You can choose a protagonst that fits you, all 8 party members are either interesting and likeable or neutral and fit their role. Most of them are adults and there is almost no romance, even with the “bond system” that usually turnes most games into harems. And the main villain is great. It would be better to call him a “final boss” because he is not really a villain, just a powerfull guy with conflicting interests.
Biomutant is a game unlike I have ever played before. Biomutant is a beautiful and charming open world action RPG “mutated” in a sense with a sense of kung fu and magic and other unique game play elements which add up to be an enjoyable game albeit some setbacks such as repetition after some time and lacking a deep story. The open world is a good sized map with colorfully diverse terrain and plenty of locations to explore, loot, and fight. The graphics are amazing, the world is detailed and characters pop into life with vibrant colors and textures. There are many character models in this game NPC’s and enemies alike and each have their own distinct look and feel to them. The combat is fast and fun as you have a wide array of choices to take down your enemy. It’s hard not to smile while you are flying around (figuratively) swashbuckling with cool kung fu combos blending chaos and elegance in combat
