Esoteric Ebb is a story-heavy single-player CRPG (computer role-playing game) released on March 3, 2026 for PC (Steam). It was developed by Christoffer Bodegård (with collaborators including Gibbet Games and Speldosa Interactive) and published by Raw Fury. The game blends tabletop RPG mechanics with deep narrative, dialogue-driven gameplay, and a fantastical political mystery set in a vibrant, surreal world. In Esoteric Ebb, you take on the role of The Cleric, an investigator and government operative sent to the city of Norvik just five days before its first-ever election. A mysterious tea shop explosion serves as your starting point for a sprawling, politically charged investigation filled with ideological clashes, quirky characters, mythological creatures, and bizarre encounters. Tabletop-Inspired Resolution: The game uses dice rolls similar to traditional Dungeons & Dragons to resolve nearly everything — from dialogue checks to combat and skill challenges — making chance and character stats meaningful in every scene.
