The game is a prequel to Methods: The Detective Competition and takes place three years before the events of that story. The story follows Detective Larika Downs, who joins a mysterious Canadian detective competition where teams of investigators solve crimes created by criminal masterminds. Her goal is not only to win the competition but also to uncover the hidden truth behind how the contest really works. The game mixes visual novel storytelling with investigation puzzles.
