GRIME II is a surreal action-adventure metroidvania and sequel to the original GRIME, released on March 31, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It places players in a bizarre, artistic world where everything—from environments to creatures—is inspired by abstract forms and living art. You play as a mysterious being called the “Formless,” a creature that can absorb enemies and transform their shapes into powerful abilities. Become a stealer of forms in GRIME II, the sequel to 2021’s acclaimed action-adventure metroidvania. You are a Formless – an art mimic, absorbing creatures and summoning molds in their shape. The core gameplay of GRIME II revolves around combat, exploration, and character customization. Players fight enemies using melee attacks, parries, and special abilities, but the unique twist is the “Mold” system, where defeated enemies can.

Combat is also heavily influenced by the environment, meaning players can use terrain and objects strategically during fights—but enemies can do the same.
