Last Seen Steam Pre-Installed
Last Seen is a slice-of-life visual novel that trades dramatic settings for something far more familiar: the quiet strain of a new relationship stretched thin by circumstance. The story follows a first-year university student and his girlfriend Aiko, who both landed at the same campus and live only a short walk apart. In practice, that closeness counts for very little. Their class timetables barely overlap, part-time job hours eat into the gaps, and the rules governing Aiko’s dormitory make casual visits nearly impossible. What is left of the relationship survives almost entirely inside a messaging app, where the couple trade updates about their days and try to feel present in each other’s lives. Aiko shares nearly everything, and the narrative builds its tension out of that one hedging word. Small omissions accumulate. Replies arrive later than they used to. The central question the game asks is whether trust can survive on incomplete information, and how much a person is willing to overlook before curiosity turns into something harder to walk back.

Play centres on reading, choosing, and living with the consequences. Conversations unfold largely as phone exchanges, with the player deciding how to reply, when to press for detail, and when to let an evasive answer slide. Those decisions accumulate into branching outcomes rather than a single fixed ending, so the state of the relationship at any point reflects the accumulated weight of earlier responses instead of one dramatic turning point. Notably, the netorare content is entirely optional. Players who want to safeguard the relationship can steer toward honesty, attentiveness, and reassurance, and the story will support that path. Players drawn to darker territory can make deliberately reckless or selfish choices and follow the fallout wherever it leads. The design puts that fork squarely in the player’s hands rather than forcing a predetermined descent. Anime-styled character art and a contemporary campus setting frame the drama, while the pacing leans on restraint and implication over spectacle. The result is a compact, character-driven story about distance, trust, and the small silences that grow between two people who genuinely care for each other.
