Sky Force Reloaded is the spirit of the classic arcade shoot ‘em ups, captured with modern visuals and design. Assemble and test 9 different aircrafts. Pick your favorite, with its unique features and play style. Hunt down 30 elusive bonus cards to add even more depth to the gameplay. Some of them will grant permanent benefits, while others will boost your abilities only temporarily.
Install hundreds of upgrades to your weapons, shields and other equipment. Turn your plane into a flying tank. Complete in-game objectives to unlock 8 assisting technicians. Choose one of them to help you with their special skill. Spot the wrecks of your fallen friends and get rewards for picking them up. Enter the Weekend Tournaments to challenge your friends on one of 5 specially crafted infinite stages. Appreciate highly polished gameplay and well balanced difficulty curve, whether you consider yourself a casual gamer or a die-hard shmup fanatic.
Enjoy professional voiceover and incredible electronic soundtrack. Set the fun level to eleven by inviting your friends to play with you in local cooperative mode! Find the planes that best suit you both and challenge the hardest bosses, too fearsome to be faced alone. The controls are great regardless of if you are just using a keyboard, or a controller (no mouse necessary). There are plenty of potent and fun upgrades, and the levels all feel different enough, so far. There is a weekly tournament, leaderboards, and definitely enough content overall to merit the asking price. First the good stuff…There’s more unlockables this time around, and that includes everything from the usual ship upgrades, cards and difficulty medals. Added in are qol additions like a card scanner, technicians which adds a perk to your ship, ship parts scattered about that when completed grants a brand new ship with additional perks, in game goals to shoot for to earn gems to unlock technicians. And every time you earn something, a red exclamation point will hover over the back button letting you know to return to the main menu and see what you got. All of these are welcome additions to make the game a little more accessible to play and not have to rely on blind playing to randomly get that card you’ve been searching hours for like in the first game.
