Bought after playing the demo during Steam NEXT (I think that’s what it was called), largely because of the cute protagonist and pitch-perfect puzzle platforming. The full game carries on that trend with some unlockable costumes too (acquired through exploring and collecting items), and whilst there’s definitely some exploration to be had with a few optional events/encounters for the most part it’s a pretty linear puzzle-platformer. None of the puzzles are too difficult, but just enough to feel satisfied when all the different moving parts click into place. And of course the dragon girl is cute and surprisingly expressive. Relatively short at around 3 hours for me to clear the game first-time around, though I’ll go back at some point to 100% it, I can’t see that taking more than a couple more hours.
Shirone is a charming and relaxing 3D puzzle platformer. The puzzles are challenging enough to be engaging without becoming frustrating, and the game lasted about 4 hours for me, which felt like a good length for the amount of gameplay variety it has, it didn’t overstay it’s welcome. The movement and platforming is competent. There’s hidden collectables to find that are used to unlock costumes for the cute main character. Only real issue is the lack of variety in the environments, but otherwise it’s a solid indie game I can gladly recommend for fans of cute anime girls and puzzle games alike!
