Luminous Avenger iX 2 is set in a parallel world where a dystopic story unfolds in a ruined desert wasteland where only robots exist. Characters both familiar and new come together for this exciting story, featuring English voiceover for the very first time in the entire Gunvolt series! Alright, story. iX1 was already not as strong as the mainline games, but overall, the plot worked (plus the iX games are more of action games, so the story took a backseat). iX2, however, is such a mess I’m appalled that the writer for the beautifully made GV1 and GV2 and even iX1 created this “fanfic”, honestly. Copen finds a Blaster Rifle by chance, gets sucked into an alternate world with his crew and has to fight his way upwards in the Grave Pillar. The plot takes a huge dive in the endgame and it’s arguably the worst of all 4 games by a long shot.
