I played the original Chaos on the ZX Spectrum and on Spectrum emulators for 30 years. I found it was the perfect game for taking a break from work. I would start a game, cast some spells, kill some creatures and basically have fun. Whether I won or lost I would go back to work feeling refreshed. The best thing for me was that every game was different, since you had to adapt your strategy to the spells you got, rather than designing a strategy and then picking the spells to implement it. So, after playing Chaos for 30 years, you’ll understand that I was a tad excited when I heard that Julian Gollop was planning to work on a Chaos reboot, so to speak, to be called Chaos Reborn.
