About The Game
XIII is the remake of the iconic action game played in first person view initially released in 2003. You play as “XIII”, a man with no identity, in a single player campaign full of twists and turns. Inspired by the eponymous comic book, the game features a unique cel-shading design entirely reinvented. XIII will also offer the possibility to confront your opponents through brutal multiplayer battles. The country is still in shock after the assassination of President Sheridan. You wake up wounded, without any memory, on a deserted beach of the west coast. The only clues to your identity are the number XIII tattooed near your collarbone and a locker key. Despite your amnesia, you discover that you have the reflexes of a fully trained professional fighter. You take the road seeking for pieces of your past, finding out that you played a role in the murder of the President of the United States and uncovering the most horrific conspiracy in the entire history of the country.
More enemies making it more intense, this for some can be a mixed bag but it makes more action packed and also very cool to act upon a situation with multiple enemies taking you by surprise at multiple sides, i loved playing through the chapters and not noticing an enemy was behind a door and else. This makes you more aware of your ammo and how precise you are, as you can hit almost instantly on the head. Guns are all viable and it’s quite fun juggling around things whilst fighting. I have noticed some extra additions which make the game more interesting, for example on the roof scene with Major Jones, she quickly snaps around and shoots an enemy in the head which was on a roof behind you, it’s quite the charm honestly.
XIII Remastered Pre-Installed:
There are some of these small improvements and pretty appreciated ones too here and there which make it a bit more engaging, some extra animations were added for the arrival of enemies and else from the original game that do not insult the game nor make it more corny. Gunplay is extremely fun, i have had a lot of gun fights with a lot of variety of weaponry, the enemies themselves roll on the floor and also dodge bullets, sometimes i ended up missing and not even noticing, they shoot everywhere and try to hit you all the time making it very chaotic and random. From the point above i can add that the AI is quite engaging and honestly it’s not bad at all, i have definitely saw way worse games with way worse reaction times and also just horrible gameplay, this AI instead actually makes the fighting more intense.
