Shovel Knight Dig Pre-Installed:
All the enemies you encounter feel like tools for you to get more treasure and find your way deeper into the level. It really feels like the whole game is working together as one. The audio is wonderful. It’s just what I was expecting from a Nitrome and Yacht Club matchup The visuals are astounding. I’ve never played a more beautifully drawn pixel game. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove’s graphics were fun and nostalgic for some people, but for me, DIG’s graphics are even more so. Treasure Trove mimicked NES/SNES graphics, but DIG mimics and improves GBA graphics which is the era I grew up in. The game doesn’t shove its mechanics in your face. You’ll be talking with NPCs and looking at images on signs, but there’s no real tutorial. You’ll be discovering the nitty gritty of this game by playing it yourself, but the good news is that most of that is icing on the cake. Even if you don’t understand things at first, you’ll be able to enjoy the game without that understanding.
