Not Today Satan The story is about Christin. Christin lived in a very religious family and attended a catholic boarding school. At the age of eighteen, she realizes that life has more to offer. Almost daily she is confronted with the everyday temptations of life. How long will she resist? Your decision, your consequences. My main disappointment is with the “Queen’s English”. Please, I mean no offense to the Dev or anyone’s country of origin. It’s just that the language doesn’t flow with the story or the renders. An example would be the word “swetty” when it should read “sweetie”. Encounter rate is stupidly high, can’t skip dialog during scenes, only 10 scenes in the entire game that use same expressions, unnecessary levels/maps that don’t even match theme, uneven enemies at higher level requiring cheats/unnecessary grinding, etc. This game’s story had so much potential.. but the end completely ruined it. Like the premise itself probably deserves 4 stars but the execution made me so irrationally angry at how much potential they wasted I feel like 1 star is justified. If you completely turn of your brain you might find enjoyment in it, but I cannot understand how anyone could refer to this as “one of the best VN’s.” Don’t expect it to deliver on any of the premises it introduces in the first 75% of the story.
Art: 3/5 Not much to say on this. The art is decent, but don’t expect anything special. Sound Design: 4/5 Music is good. Not much more to say on this, the music is singlehandedly what saves this from being a 1 star review. Hentai: 2/5 It honestly felt like a patch made by fans more than actual hentai made by a good developer. I’ve read fanfics more integrated into stories than the porn in this game. You lose nothing by removing the H-scenes. Overall: 2/5 I will never understand why this is so highly rated. It’s just an incredibly mediocre VN that had an interesting premise that it failed to capitalize on. If it were the first VN I read, it would have been the last VN If you want you can give it a try though. A lot of people like it, I just wanted to vent. I hate that this is one of the most recommended VNs. It does not deserve it. An oldie but pretty good if you ignore that the logic falls apart in the final chapter.

Over the course of the game it’s setting up something that ultimately doesn’t pay off and fakes you out and left me wondering if the scenario writer had a different plan but just dropped it from cowardice or something. Those blackouts that the MC stops having conveniently in the final chapter coincide with the reveal that the villain was his long lost old brother. You also have to ignore that the brother’s asinine plan gets dropped if you end up on the other routes which is very strange if you were setting it up that they were two separate people all along. The spoiler really took me out of the story at that time. Still, it has some famous VA’s (Lelouch Lamperouge, etc.) and a nice classical music soundtrack and it is a fairly dark story with all the endings being very bittersweet to downright sad. The art is also decent though not the best I’ve seen and the girls from what I remember aren’t cookie cutter. This VN is a work of art, with a tantalizing story that grips you, locks you in, and doesn’t let you go until the very last page. It’s a purveyance of beautiful melancholy, tinged with lingering regrets. It’s worth reading, if you’re in the market for a serious VN experience, and the less you read about it before doing so, the better. That includes the discussion thread right here, which has spoilers. If you just want to see people get their bone on though, you’re gonna be playing a lot of game for a small amount of smut. That ain’t what it’s about. It is a sad Masterpiece, perhaps the greatest VN of his kind. The plot is is perfect the characters too the OST is amazing nad the graphical quality, even if is a little old, is still outstanding. This is one of the VN where you will not skip dialogues. Unrated version only. See this “game” like a good book [well it’s a VN after all], put on some good earphones, mute the voices and just enjoy the ride.
