I went into this game pretty blind to what it was about. All I knew was that I liked the vibe/art style and it was an indie game that some of the reviews mentioned was buggy. I expected it to be yet another short, but fun little indie game that I’d be done with in an evening. The game turned out to actually have a lot more depth to it than I expected and really sucked me in. It consumed my life for a few days/nights as I poured almost 40hrs into it getting all the achievements, which I don’t normally do for most games. I mean, I am a little bit of a completionist with some games, but usually just within the context of getting all the things within the game, completing all the quests or whatever gives me some sort of feeling of having gone the extra mile.

It’s a little strange that the highest performance set of parts is available pretty early on in the game and while relatively expensive is not unrealistic to be able to purchase very early. When I was looking up bike part stats I saw someone cautioning against buying that top tier set early on as they didn’t feel there was any incentive to experiment with other parts once you had it. I went for it anyways and still had plenty of fun buying/finding and experimenting with other parts, because performance is definitely not everything when it comes to enjoyment of riding the hoverbike across the desert imo. The bike’s sound I found was very important to me and the Speedster’s engine sound honestly wasn’t my favorite so I found myself rarely using the engine although I did use the front a lot. Some of the engine parts you can get leave cool colored light or smoke trails and I found myself preferring those.
