Doors: Paradox is a relaxing, diorama puzzle escape game set in a rich world full of magic, head-scratching, and more than 5 hours of fun! You are accompanied by the outstanding time-travel guide Zula, who takes you through an unexplored portal to.. a cozy forest, and then a fertile desert oasis, and then the future!? No matter where you go, the task is simple – solve the puzzles, open the door, and travel to the next exciting location – just don’t get lost, the place is vast and full of ancient secrets. It’s straightforward in its presentation. If you like what you see in the videos, you’ll like the game. If you enjoyed the Room series, you’ll like the game. Sound design was all right, visual presentation was pretty but plagued with some assets that were either way too low poly, way too low resolution, or both. They stuck out like sore thumbs, so it isn’t going to be perfect, but it does what it says it’ll do: give you puzzle dioramas to solve. Lots of machinery and mechanisms to play with and troubleshoot, and they are satisfying designs to witness moving around.
It wasn’t very difficult, save for a couple parts for me, but I think I just missed something obvious during those times. You aren’t going to be in for anything super challenging or frustrating, it’s more leisurely and light thinking. This is what I needed in my life right now. Low key, chill and tickles the brain a little. The designs are intriguing, puzzles are fun not frustrating and the music is very relaxing. If you need a break from all your crazy action games this is a good palate cleanser. Would highly recommend. A neat little puzzle game. Nothing too hard in the first couple levels that I’ve seen so far, but I can say that a lot of time has been well spent making it look absolutely beautiful, and the high quality of some of the animations was really surprising.
Doors Paradox Pre-Installed:
If I’d have kids or smaller siblings, this would be definitely something I’d have them play with me helping them, but I definitely look forward to see if I’m able to clear all the puzzles myself. I will say that, while the game allows you to play with upwards of 8-10 people, playing with 1-2 cooperators is most ideal. The base-game rooms are pretty small and there really isn’t too much for more people to do. If someone’s holding onto something you need, you have no way of really knowing what that is unless they give it to you. Play with people who know how to communicate.
