You can earn up to three stars on each level, determined by points. As long as you meet the goal, normally removing a certain number of a specific color or type of block, you will earn two stars. I found that I would have to postpone completing the goal until I was closer to the end as I needed extra points to earn the third star, this is necessary for all of the timed levels as there is no bonus phase after you complete the goals. Each star will earn you 100 coins, so you can earn up to 300 coins per level. There are 40 levels to the game, meaning you can earn up to 12,000 coins. If you replay a level you only earn additional coins if you get more stars that you did previously. The coins are used in the store to unlock the Neko girls. You need to complete 34 levels with three stars to purchase all of the items in the store.
Miss Neko 3 Pre-Installed:
You can interact with the girls prior to unlocking them, but their picture and cat fact won’t show unless you purchase the corresponding item from the store. When you interact with a girl you need to click on her, in specific places, to fill her meter. Once the meter is filled you will be able to use various options to select her clothing. There is one final girl that is unlocked when you get three stars for every level. You click on a block that has at least one more block of the same color touching it to remove them from the board. If you manage to remove five or more blocks of the same color at one time you will receive a booster. Later levels will have additional boosters available, they are located to the lower right of the playfield. After you use one of these boosters a ring will appear indicating how much time before the booster is available again.
