Micetopia Direct Download
Welcome to the medieval, magical kingdom of Micetopia, where mice live in freely an idyllic country village. Unfortunately, as the story begins forces of evil have taken away all the mice except for the one elder remaining. Can you become the hero of Micetopia and save your villagers from the dark minions? The combat is Dark Soul inspired, but not nearly as hard or punishing (it can still be quite challenging compared to normal games, especially on higher difficulties.), combine that with how cool and fun the lightsabers are to use, and the Uncharted/Tomb Raider inspired set pieces and you end up with a pretty good and fun gameplay loop. (You can fully customize your own light saber, Side note: if you ever felt the game wasn’t as good as it could’ve been when you’re just starting out, it most definitely does get a lot better the more you play, in both combat (once you unlock all moves, some of which i thought you should’ve started with, or at least unlocked a lot sooner) and the story (can’t comment on that sadly cuz spoilers.
Some animations weren’t as good as you’d expect from an AAA game, some sliding/jumping sections were a bit annoying to get right, backtracking was tedious at times since there is no fast travel between rest locations but it wasn’t anything too excessive i guess, the game also refused to launch altogether for me with the new EA launcher, and only worked with the old origin launcher. As you can see the good far outweighs the minor cons i just mentioned, but still, this is definitely not a perfect game by any means, they still have a lot of room for improvements and polish in so many aspects, so don’t play this expecting something great/perfect, but more like something that’s actually good and fun. After all, what really matters and what made me feel like i had to leave this one a positive review was the fact that it was “FUN”, with some great story moments, interesting & memorable side characters and enjoyable lightsaber combat
Micetopia Pre-Installed:
I was casually browsing the steam store for something to buy then SW: Fallen Order got my attention. Deep discount, SW universe, good looking game. It was an easy purchase. Then some of my friends started to point out to me the type of the game. Yes, I am not good at those kinds of games. I prefer strategy, logic, puzzle, point&click, puzzle platformers, regular RPGs and so on. I was a bit sad that I wasted my money on something I won’t be able to finish. I launched the game and then realised that difficulty settings are available, so I managed to finish the game.
