What you do is, you create a character, and start out in a quest hub area with some merchants. You can also recruit followers there; additional heroes that you can level up and equip with gear. From the main town, you can leave through a portal, which gives you a list of scenarios or maps you can jump to. These maps are sorted by level, so you may end up doing some of them more than once, but that’s part of the fun. As you level and get gear, lower maps become easier, so you get a sense of progression that way.
