Stages are packed with Single player campaign with 12 stages Each with their unique set of mechanics, your platforming and combat skills will be tested against an armada of enemies and bosses! Even with the combat changes, I thought it was very faithful to the MegaMan 2 format, specifically the boss-themed stage selection and the visual design, that said, the gameplay is a lot more melee oriented, as well as using the hook mechanic which might be a tribute to Bionic Commando, granted it’s a very trendy thing these days.

I personally don’t really mind the changes, if anything, there are already so many MegaMan reskins on the market, I think the devs should be encouraged to do their own thing. These days Capcom is not exactly satisfying the need for this type of game, not as much as they should, but to be fair, I think many indies are doing a better job anyway, keeping the legacy of MegaMan alive, and by extension, still making good old-school platformers that bigger companies refuse to do. The game is roughly 4 hours playing casually and it’s relatively forgiving on the difficulty, there is a new game+ mode but I didn’t notice any changes so far The music was another highlight of the game, I thought it captured the spirit of the classic upbeat songs, pretty much the entire game is an acoustic paradise, as well as manipulating the sound progression across the game.
