The story is told through books that you find and read along the way. Although the game seems disjointed in the beginning, things tie together as you discover more books and the story takes shape. I appreciated that I could read at my own speed and was not held captive by narration. There are a three short combat sections which I simplified by selecting the “God Mode’ option under the settings menu. Although the action ties into the story, I did not especially enjoy running from a soldier while trying to catch bunnies and charge my staff. But, this was a small part of the game. Although most of your time will be spent walking/running, you’ll need to do some platforming. It does not require great precision and is fairly forgiving (although I missed jumps more often than I’d like to admit). The game auto-saves at regular intervals.

Checkpoints are close enough together that you are rarely at risk of losing progress when you exit. If you are paying attention and exploring all corners of the landscape, you should easily obtain 100% of the achievements. The puzzles were okay, although there are some that are timed, which is always a minus in my books. The scenery was nice as always in these games. Overall, this is another example of a game that doesn’t know what it wants to be. It would have been a decent puzzle game without the annoying unnecessary parts guest vocals by Pınar Karabaş Atmospheric sound design to carry the player through the highs and lows of their journey option for a more casual gameplay experience.
