The mechanic portion of the game feels like a streamlined version of car mechanic sim 21, which tbh is a breath of fresh air. It got old in car mechanic sim to dissassemble the entire brake each time you needed to pull it off to get to the disc or backing plate. This game does away with quite a bit of tediousness that was boring for the sake of being a sim and heavily speeds up the process of repairing. It’s great. The part repair bench itself is a fun addition that allows you to use different tools to manually restore a part instead of press a button in a watered down QTE like car mechanic sim.
Offroad Mechanic Simulator Pre-Installed:
It doesn’t allow you to take apart or customize the engines, simply swap in or out “better” ones. The “original” adjectives on a lot of parts seems to imply we’d get to change them out for aftermarket ones, but there are none to be found. Driving mechanics are fine, but the lack of skidplates or rock sliders is a bit disappointing from a gameplay perspective. Especially since i have 0 mechanical empathy, constant clutch dumps and steady rev limiter as soon as i experience any sort of difficult obstacle best mechanic simulator hands down! I have only played this for about 2 hours and absolutely love everything about it! The physics remind me of SpinTires and the mechanical part of it reminds me of Car Mechanic Simulator! A lot of thought has gone into this game and as an Automotive Technician who specializes in Suspension & Chassis, I can honestly say that you guys nailed it on the head with this one!
