First / third person multiplayer shooter with single and multiplayer AI bots and monster, premade and procedural environments. This game would be soo much better if they added more requirements to finish the game and add more caves and loot. For me, the game ended too fast and more content and building options can be added to it. Exploring and gathering is excellent. Crafting and itemization is well done. Building is not that great tbh. It’s complicated, and takes time to learn. Can be too finicky. I started out playing normal mode without changing any gameplay settings. This game punishes you way too much the more time goes on. You start to get cool stuff, and then enemies ramp up x10. Spending crap ton of time on building a large shelter and perimeter defense just for a mob to blow through it in mere seconds is really deflating. More fun as co-op than single player. Certain tasks require special tools and an excessive amount of time—this, as well as certain controls, have to be explained by another player (which somewhat undermines the broad appeal). The tutorial could use a lot of improvement.
There is a nice sense of progression all throughout, you are continuously getting better items that keep improving your quality of life. If you enjoy base building and organization, there is plenty of that to be had, and even some satisfying automation. The graphics may not be the most luxurious, but its style creates a post-apocalyptic atmosphere and maintains tension in every corner of the world. Strategic thinking and planning were essential to surviving and overcoming the unexpected challenges the game threw my way. Each new day brought new trials, and I found satisfaction in the diversity of survival experiences. The game made me feel vulnerable and compelled me to take risks, but it also offered freedom and opportunities for self-expression. It was a real world, living by its own rules, and I felt like a part of it.
