In its current state, it is EXTREMELY crunchy both in terms of management and computer demands. My fairly new computer draaaaags on this the larger the city gets or the longer the game goes to the point that it stutters and halts quite frequently.

It is a constant game of catchup after a while, even if you play at the slowest setting! By the time I get all the kids into mentor jobs, three more are up! And someone died! And someone’s homeless and needs a spouse! It feels bonkers and is exhausting As others have said, the dating game gets very old very fast. I would like to see some sort of matchmaking thing where the matchmaker herself can build a shop and do this for me eventually, or just some sort of option in the Settings to skip the questions entirely. But it definitely needs some polishing and ways to streamline the process. I’m hoping that the devs work on this enough that it’s not abandoned as I think it does genuinely have potential to be more cozy and less breakneck catchup. In my current game, i have about 100 townsfolk. Old people are dying and its hard to get enough hearts to find a suitable replacement. So then you have to scroll through 100 people and compare skills to find out how you can rearrange your entire workforce to fulfill everyone’s needs.
