Hadean Tactics is a roguelike deckbuilding game fused with autobattler elements to create a unique strategy experience. Use your cards to influence the actions of your units and help your Hero defeat the Six Wings of Hell. With procedurally generated paths, an assortment of game changing relics, unique units, and a innovative battle system that combines the control of deckbuilding with semi real-time combat, no run of Hadean Tactics is ever the same. Recruit souls trapped in the underworld to automatically battle for you, and influence their actions with the cards you find during your run. Combine your cards and relics with their skills and alliances to guide them to victory. Explore a new map on each run. Discover the different circles of the realm, and the different bosses that rule it. Experience unique events both outside and during combat. Create and play with your own custom Heroes and decks. Manage their stats, combine any skill and alliance, develop and perfect your own synergies and strategies.
Each of the three playable classes feels distinct from onee another, and even within those classees most eevery game is gonna feel quite different from the previous play-throughs. And if those ever run their course, there’s always the Crypt mode where you can customize and upgrade your own hero to take into the dungeons. Every single update has made it more polished, engaging, and replayable. 10/10, would recommend to anyone that’s a fan of the genre. This game is a seriously fun and satisfying! I’ve played enough that I can say I have beaten each of the playable characters on the hardest difficulty (corruption 20), which took me roughly 40-45 hours – and I still can’t stop playing, because of the deep combo mechanics and shear variety in depth possible in each run. To compare it to games people might commonly know, it has strong ties to Slay the Spire but also plays a bit like Minion Masters in the way combat resolves.

If you enjoy either of these games, you will very likely get lost in this game like I did. There’s 3 characters to play (with different play-styles and deck), and a 4th character that is fully customizable – making for almost endless replayability and combo shenanigans. You build a team of powerful monsters that are upgradable and swapable. You can achieve powerful combos with cards, but also with squad composition (each monster has 2 possible upgrade paths which improve with leveling). It gets pretty wild when you start combo-ing cards with monster skills though, and there are some crazy chain effects if you get the right deck and squad composition. Lots of different and diverse playstyles and strategies to experiment with, and a ton of customizable difficulty when you get good enough so you can really test yourself!
