Improvements like new quest and conversation systems make Reloaded even better than the original. Stalk lamp-lit streets and take down rival gangs to let the Kingpin know his end is nigh. Kingpin’s immersive sim elements allow you to recruit other gangsters and increase your influence through multiple hub-based missions. Run with the gang on a violent warpath with upgradeable weapons. Location-based damage leads to bloody, thrilling battles: kneecap, maim, or go for the head.
They added subtitles and language options, you can even change their background and size. They make it so you don’t have to search bodies anymore, every pickup flies out of the enemies; I like it, but wish there was an option to retain the original mechanic. The game actually looks better for the most part, both the lighting and the textures look great. They revamped the stealth system, now you can actually sneak up on enemies whilst crouch. The blood textures look bad, I’m referring to the decals from the original, they added more options for them but they’re fairly abstract, stuff like: “tomato sauce”, or “bloodbath”, don’t really tell me much. I wish you could keep the blood decals from the original, whilst still increasing their amount. The blood amount options also seem to reset when playing on “original” visual mode, the setting name stays the same, but the amount decreases after a while. Dismemberment also seems to have been reduced.

The graphic improvements can glitch at times causing some weird visual effects, like the shadows on a staircase looking weird when shining them with your flashlight. The sound balance is off, cutscenes are really quiet, while the rest of the game is fairly loud. The notebook HUD icon is really annoying, it won’t stop flashing until you open it, I wish there was an option to time how long it stays on the screen. but what i you really need to do is fix the character controller – i get stuck on walls soo often even jumping trying to jump on top of something i get stuck in the air for a second and also soo many framedrops usually happens every time i try to shoot with shotgun. Looks like a mess, but i got to finish it!
