Sky Sojourn Direct Download
Welcome to the exciting world of Sky Sojourn! In this adventure game you will play as Steve, a brave adventurer who finds himself on a remote deserted island full of mysteries and riddles. Your task is to climb up a variety of floating islands. To reach the top, you will have to overcome many exciting obstacles. Be ready for unusual challenges! The peculiarity of the game are pushing spheres and elevators that will help you climb to the top! The higher you go up the more painful it is to fall as there are no saves in the game and if you fall from a great height the game will be over. But the main thing is not to give up and you will definitely be able to overcome all the obstacles and find out what is at the top! The graphic designers have packed an immense amount of details and small animations into every square centimeter, which perfectly illustrate the fundamentally flawed concept of the game, and the four Crash is a joy to look at not only while jumping quickly, but also in a situation where you just stop and soak up the atmosphere.
Troubles with time and space give the authors a lot of freedom to naturally connect seemingly incoherent levels, and so you can expect a post-apocalyptic desert futurism, which is seamlessly followed by pirate history and so on. You must get to them without dying except now instead of jumping on a platform which transports you to a harder part of the level, you unlock an entirely new mini-level for each tape you collect. I would call these levels “platforming overload”, they are all about jumping on boxes and precise movement. Not easy but not as punishing as the main levels when you die. Plus you get interesting backstory and the good ol’ nostalgic soundtrack They all have their own unique abilities that change the dynamic of these levels of which there are two types: full-length and mini character levels.
Sky Sojourn Direct Play:
The full-length ones are part of the main story path and you play as a different character for the whole level. Nothing wrong with that. It is the mini levels I don’t quite understand, but more on that later. Here the devs go so over the top with the hiding that you quickly become paranoid and start checking every corner of the levels and yet you still end up with missing boxes. That alone makes up for quite a sizeable chunk of the time I put into the game. These should have been either extended to full-length levels or cut short. I don’t really see the point of having to redo the main level. With new power-ups in the form of masks, new platform element and even new playable characters you are in for a refreshing sequel to a classic game. The game still feels like the original Crash but has more.
