You are an ordinary guy living amidst the apartment buildings of the country of Grustovia, but now the moment has come that will determine how fast you can run. You’ve received a draft notice, and an incredible adventure begins, one that will be remembered for a lifetime if you’re not quick enough. You need to run or hide. For planned repositioning, you have several unique paths available: escape through the garages and attempt to cross the border or seek refuge in the metro catacombs. Which mode of transportation will be most suitable for the terrible roads of Grustovia, which border to cross is better, where to hide in the metro, and much more awaits you in the game “Escape from Grustovia” The game is short. You move forward and take decisions that unlock achievements. Will you go across the roof or take the subway? Will you travel through a hanger or ignore the warning signs and keep on, eventually leading you to a purposefully broken section of the map? It’s playable, has some jokes, but not all of them land.
Almost every fun is sucked out by a boring maze section. Until this point, the game creates checkpoints for the tiniest progress. You can return to any checkpoint in order to try something else. The maze, however, takes too long and it’s possible to die. For example, one road leads to a long queue of cars. If you follow it all the way to the end, you’ll come to a border crossing with nothing interesting. Furthermore, if you manage to clip through it and continue, you will reach the end of the map where you die. There was no extra achievement. 96% of 60k+ reviews are positive, and there’s good reason for it. I just finished my first play through of the main game and I have to say it’s a fantastic game. The story, the combat, the boss battles, the different abilities, the selection of costumes, the challenges, everything is just top notch.
Escape from Grustovia Direct Play:
One of the most enjoyable things in the game was web swinging, the devs absolutely nailed it. I’m looking forward to checking out the DLC, hopefully it doesn’t disappoint. I’m not someone who normally does more than one play through on a game, but I loved my first play through so much I’m really interested in checking out New Game+ and Ultimate difficulty. I love this game just so I can fling Spidey-man into the air with his superpowers and let him suffer all the anxiety inducing fears of height, dangers, paranoia, and always putting him at risk of dying for others. The emotional highs, lows, the writing, the interactions- the world, it’s all so real and convincing. This game made me feel like a real superhero.
