Change the wheels, repair the body of the car or recharge the battery, car maintenance will no longer have any secrets for you! Forget the safety rules and save time with hero physics. Over 25 levels for you and your team to discover and master! The story itself is not convoluted and easy to follow, with plenty of memorable and iconic TV- and Movie- cameos. But the story is not the main reason you should pick up the game. I’ve (solo) played through the entire campaign and I have to say, that this game is hilarious and doesn’t take itself too serious, with funny character names, but also creative achievements.
The maps and level balancing is on point and it gets progressively harder throughout all chapters. The levels itself are not just a simple copy paste. Each of them introduce you to a new mechanic, or a nifty twist, to something you’ve just learned. I’m also really happy to see, that this game in particular, does one thing right. Because there’s not only a local co-op, but also an ONLINE co-op mode, where you can either team up with 3 of your friends to complete the story/levels, but also battle them in a various races. While you play through the story, you not only unlock new characters, but also cars and tracks that you’re able to use for the just mentioned (offline or online) VS-mode, plus other unlocks that I’m not going to spoil. I can’t wait to team up with a friend of mine and play through it all of it again. They say, ‘the more the merrier’, but you should not take that phrase lightly, because if you dare to do a 4-player co-op run and don’t communicate well enough, the 4-player experience will end in a catastrophic, yet amusing, mayhem.

Not to mention, that all of this came from a very smol Indie-Team. Their passion, dedication and attention to detail shows, that it doesn’t have to be a triple A company/game to be good. Indie-games (in general) are becoming more and more refined and enjoyable, while the big names are only out to ease someone’s wallet. This game is couch co-op at its’ finest. It plays the same as others in the genre (Overcooked, Tools Up, Moving Out) using great physics, limited tools, tight spaces and environmental obstacles to provide a good challenge and is bags of fun. It’s easy to pick up and learn so anybody can play and have fun with this. There’s no difficulty settings, but each level you have 3 medals you can earn by getting a higher score. It will take some serious effort to get the highest medals! At least for the gf and I, playing with the just the two of us it has been immense fun trying to learn more efficient ways of completing each level in order to achieve the highest rank.
