027 is a first-person survival horror game. Wander and investigate the empty town that once was home to your old best friend; Chris Williams. Uncover untold mysteries behind Chris’ disappearance, or flee from the monstrosities the run-aways left behind. Environment 027 is set inside an abandoned town with many places within to explore. Whether it be out in the streets, in the house, the mall, or in their twisted, maze-like counterparts, terror will be inevitable. Storyline You are a friend of Chris’, hoping to find out what happened to him, and if he’s still alive. You check every corner of the town, but you find more than just clues are lurking around in your friend’s hometown. Gameplay Solve puzzles to progress into the game and discover it’s deeper meaning. Survive as you encounter things you’d never expect.
With no way to defend yourself, you only have one choice: run. Utilize the resources given to you, and all will be closer to well. On top of it, you’re given a nice gameplay loop with an extensive upgrade tree. Oh yeah. This is going to be a great ride. Eventually, you begin the main quest in the earnest, and things really get moving. The inventory management is a pleasure throughout the entire game. And even though I said that the threats are all trivial to manage, it still remains a thrill to do so – mainly because your boat is very susceptible to damage, and every hit can ruin your haul. Do you want to brave the waters on the first night, slowly dredging while something larger-than-life waits beneath? Go ahead. Want to take your time, upgrading your ship as much as you can before entering a single major area? You can do that, too.

The building system is rewarding. Your shelters must be constructed with adequate support and ventilation of smoke in mind, and interior comforts increase the amount of rest you gain, incentivizing you to not just build a house, but a nice house. the game’s unique graphical style is gorgeous. Low polygon counts and simple textures free up resources that are spent on beautiful lighting, atmospherics, and color composition. It’s heavy on atmosphere, but light on story, and there are some routine repetitive tasks involved. There are no anxiety driving timers to make things hard. Just fighting skill and infrastructure to make it easier.
