Play through a 30-day story and get one of the several endings. Duel with rivals through a match-three mini-game, where you determine your weapon, armor, type of spells and a partner. Work as an exorcist to fund your endeavours. Create bonds between you and your allies. Take part in battles of nobles against serfs. Build up superficial relationships with your favourite Touhou characters, and when they can comfortably consider you one of their best friends, waste no time in exploiting them by sending them on plundering expeditions, rewarding them for their efforts with nothing but a brief thank you. If they for any reason exhibit hesitation towards being exploited thus, always remember that their insecurities work to your advantage. Jokes aside, this is a cute and charming game with incredible pixel graphics and great music.

Sure, one might find it repetitive at times, but this is, after all, a casual game, and it’s relaxing and enjoyable nonetheless. The dialogue is wholesome, and interacting and bonding with the characters within the world is fun and rewarding. As you browse through your album of in-game friends and gaze in satisfaction at your various max bond levels, you are reminded of the cruel reality that you do not possess any friends in the real world, and must resort to seeking respite within a fictional one. Anyway, I would genuinely highly recommend this game to anyone, regardless of their familiarity with the Touhou universe
