For centuries the tower has stood in the center of the world. It is rumoured a ancient power lives on top. Many lives have been lost trying to climb the tower and fall to their demise, never to tell their tale. Jacob, a villager who lives on the nearby village of Destiny takes it upon himself to journey and climb the tower and climb the power for his own. Equipped with the mystical dragon claw, he must grapple and make his way towards the heavens and climb the deadly tower. With traps, pitfalls and puzzles to solve, Focus Tower will require all of your focus and patience as you make your way to the very top. Are you brave enough to climb the Focus Tower? It is a beautiful little puzzle platformer where your resource is yarn and you use it to swing, drag and bungee yourself through a modest landscape filled with various obstacles. The gameplay is simple yet rewarding and during my playthrough I never encountered anything that took me away from the reverie.
The game really nails the atmosphere and the environments are really evoking memories of my own childhood, which in a way is a bit spooky.. The pure coziness of the Scandinavian cottage core hub mixed with the various landscapes makes for a varied journey while never getting over the edge on nostalgia. So far so good! But I have not even mentioned the music yet. This soundtrack is magnificent, and even if you never play the game look up the soundtrack on a random streaming service. I struggled through the first two chapters. It took me an hour and half and I wanted to quit, but I came back the next day and tried again and the controls started making sense. Once I got the hang of it, I had a really great time! The puzzles were satisfying to solve, the movement was fun, and the art design is really gorgeous.

The atmosphere is great, with neon signage and plant-life breaking through the industrial subterranean setting. This game is an absolute gem that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into its beautifully crafted world, I was captivated by the stunning visuals and immersive atmosphere. The gameplay mechanics are innovative and refreshing, allowing you to navigate the bustling city streets with ease. In addition to its captivating story and world-building, Stray also offers plenty of engaging puzzles and challenges to keep you entertained for hours on end.
