On every hunt and expedition into the Gloom you’ll discover new locations, monsters and gear. Collect every set of armor, each unique weapon, and hundreds of apartment decorations as you mend the various regions of a broken world. Wayfinders are stronger together! Tackling story missions or the latest boss hunt with friends as Wayfinder supports 3 player co-op allowing you to drop in and drop out of your friend’s adventures and progress together in your fight against the Gloom. Combat is very smooth and playstyles will vary based on what weapons you use. Wayfinders aren’t limited to any particular weapons and there seems to be a synergy with most Wayfinder/Weapon combinations, though some characters work better with some weapons than others. Being able to switch Wayfinders, your weapons, accessories and echoes at any time is a HUGE boon to being able to adapt to combat conditions on the fly.
Wayfinder Direct Play:
Weapons drop now and aren’t crafted. Armor seems to only drop once. 100+ copies of the Ransom rifle and Typhoon axe after ~20 hours of MSQ and side quest grinding is a bit of an issue but thankfully weapons you don’t want can be sold for good amounts of gold. The old system of requiring various components to craft weapons and summon wayfinders is still there but is used for Awakenings now. Accessory and potion crafting remains unchanged. Armor is strange compared to weapon drops when you consider you only get one of that item ever compared to the constant replacing of weapons. The stats on armor is all percentage-based so even early game drops can remain relevant later on. Armor cannot be sold (thank goodness) and echoes cannot be slotted into them.
