It is not necessary to play the original game, Bad Bobby Saga, in order to use this mod.I’m glad the game is receiving a much-needed update, and I adore the new Darker “game over” scenarios and Bobby and the youngest sister’s new looks. I’m grateful, Ziptiefun. Let’s talk about the drawback. The fairly useless walkthrough instructions, the pointless grind (having to skip 6-7 days to trigger a different conclusion or new event), and—most annoying of all—the dearth of new content are the only things keeping me from giving it a full 5-star rating. As a painter, I understand the sensation of “Man, I wish this had turned out better” when one views previous renders or paintings, but it feels disrespectful to your audience to waste three releases in a row without any new content just so you could go back and rework a few shots with better posing or lighting.
Though at this point it’s obvious the developer has no understanding what he’s doing, this game had some potential. The game’s sandbox section is utterly horrible. The great majority of the “game” will essentially consist of you constantly skipping days or weeks in order to set off a single event that you’ll have to repeat multiple times for… reasons. The game starts off very well before the main sandbox portion begins, and things go along at a respectable clip. After this is finished, it will just be money, money, and more money—redoing the same bogus work and apprehending the same thieves over and over again. It does not proceed at all. Despite the fact that this game has been available for years, nothing is even close to being done, and there is very little progression. For some reason, it even appears to be moving backwards. For something like this, I would normally just give one point, but the renders are actually rather good. The quality of the English is dreadful, with multiple errors in each sentence.

Apart from the decent graphics, the only redeeming feature is that the game ends, but it’s not really done; instead, it returns you to the choosing point. Other than that, this game is an enormous piece of garbage. Another mind-numbingly dull, barren, sandbox that is buggy and incredibly grindy. When there is an event taking place at the precise time and place—exactly when they should be accurate—the avatars that indicate which characters are in each area are usually inaccurate. Additionally, the avatars and choosing colors are commonly mislabeled. Players may grind endlessly believing there is more content to view when in fact there isn’t since the hint system is ambiguous. Occasionally repeating quests, occasionally missing quests entirely, and even provides suggestions to items that haven’t been implemented yet. Furthermore, earning money is unpredictable. Playability is really bad. terrible English translation (many capitalization and spelling mistakes) that is dull and grindy.
