I’m a fan of tower defense games and I’m happy to have this game in my library.
My only gripes is a lack of an encyclopedia/breakdown of various stats, etc, and the aesthetic of ‘caveman’ is interesting but can be at times cumbersome in explaining certain details. It’s hard for me to put into words what I’m feeling. For the first time in my life, I fell in love with a game from the very first level. It is rare for me to experience this. I enjoyed this game even more than I expected, beyond fun, even more fun than I expected. Played it and loved it. Despite the rapid growth in difficulty, I spent a few days figuring out a viable approach for the last few levels. What I liked most was that what works in one level might not work in another. My favorite part of the game was learning new skills and weapons, and strategizing around them. This is a fantastic little time-waster that I find to be incredibly entertaining, especially during the later rounds when chaos reigns.
Age of Defense Direct Play:
A wide range of maps to unlock, regular challenges to keep you engaged, and significant improvements make it a unique and enjoyable experience. Don’t hesitate to make a purchase, you won’t regret it. Generally it’s a classic tower defense, but as always comes up with new heroes, towers and abilities that makes it worth the new entry. Even tho I’ve played the hell out of all the other games, this game just catched me again. Good and evil are partners now and it is just pure excitement to see what Ironhide added to this sequel again. As a conclusion for tower defense lovers, doesn’t matter if you’re new or a veteran, the game has it all with a lot of modes and extras to make it either easy or very very very challenging The main campaign felt very short with only 3 areas, I would love for it to have had a 4th area or more. The levels have been somewhat polarizing, some levels were awesome, requiring me to think about what I had to change about my strategy to complete it. On the other hand, some levels were just boring, and at times unpleasant to play.
