Yuhee is an ordinary girl who attends a private school. While waiting for her school bus, she picked up a bright purple conch shell on the beach. She fell asleep on the bus due to unbearable drowsiness. What unfolded in front of her when she woke up was a school that had sunk into the deep sea and an abyss of followers following the high priest. She solves puzzles prepared by Abyss Followers, avoids terrible monsters, and begins a journey to escape this Abyss School and return to her original world. Solve hidden items and puzzles while avoiding abyss zombies and traps at school. The little story that it had was still deeper than their other games and the ending was kinda sad, which is something that I honestly liked, because it makes this game feel more unique when compared to its predecessors. This time you have more things to do and more items to find and combine. It’s also longer than their other games, except for ‘The Last Saintess’ perhaps, since that one is an RPG and it can potentially end up being very long if you want to unlock everything.
Gameplaywise the puzzles are extremely simple and repetetive but at least somewhat consistent. It will keep you busy for a few hours but do not expect any kind serious bigbrain challenge. Some of the puzzles have really long sections without any save which may be really frustrating if you accidentally stumble across a trap. horror, featuring demanding combat mechanics, intricate puzzles, and a strategic approach to resource management encompassing ammunition and restorative items. The sound design plays a pivotal role, significantly enhancing the overall eerie and tense ambiance. The character redesign for protagonists Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield is nothing short of stellar, endowing them with a heightened level of realism and intricate detail.
Abyss School Pre-Installed:
This is by far the best horror game I have ever played and is a must buy for anyone, the atmosphere of this game is unlike anything else I have experienced and the replay-ability it offers through achieving higher ranks and playing through the other stories cannot be understated. The game also offers extra modes that test your abilities post story and offer great challenges for anyone looking to push themselves. I liked the challenges, loved the fighting, even if I played on hard mode it was really easy to beat the game. I wish there could be more to the game, the lack of interaction other than walking made the game feel empty. But I think that this is a better game overall, even though it’s a different genre.
