Start in the hideout, play on your own or split screen with your friends. Enter Swindon where you can drive cars, buses and mobility scooters, jump on trampolines, fire yourself out of cannons, into explosions, search for trophies and Tvs and reach the heights and a whole lot more. Its your Swindon do as you please. Take a quiet trip to the Swindon fArt Gallery if it pleases you. Feeling aggressive? Find a crossbow, machine gun or laser and shoot the hell out of each other. Visit the Fart Gyms for a workout or discover the Zombie filled underground Sewers. Plan your escape of Swindon to explore Greater SwindonShire (a 20KM island) where you can go offloading, ride pigs, discover secrets, go for a swim or drive boat in the surrounding Ocean and Lakes. But watch our for the relentless sharks, cos they hungry. Remember to always check The Swindon Town Planning Office after an Update. This is where Gaz and Hal from Fayju will notify you in game of updates and additions. There is also a bunch of test Rooms to play around in. For testing out vehicles, trampolines, weapon testing facilities and playing with sharks. Basically seeing what your frog can do. Many mechanics are built in these test rooms.
This is like GTA with frogs, but you can interact with the world way more and it also has a huge aspect of those egglike exploration games. Once you get used to the controls and your frog falling over (which really is just infuriating the first ten minutes into the game) you’ll learn to appreciate progress way more and you’ll probably have legit fun. Especially when playing this with friends it’s a diamond made from. I managed to get everyone I know to play this game, and that’s rare. In this game you can go exploring a huge world, that’s always larger than it currently seems, with creative developers who are just as messed in the head as the people who buy this game and such always know where to place a good secret and where to hide a new mechanic or a new plaything for us. And don’t mind the early access, it might seem like “another one of these” games, but as far as I remember I had this game for more than a year now and the updates are still rolling in like they, should, and the dev team has actually been working to port this game from unity 4 to unity 5 in it’s entirety so they can add more complex and aesthatically pleasing content. No dev is a saint but at least the frog-game devs are mentally challenged. Also be ware of sharks, they are by far the greatest enemy of frogkind in all aspects.
Hands down, total brilliance game. This game is so, so, so much fun. It has tons of content, heaps of fun costumes, weapons, locations, cars, and more, it literally has it all. I can’t stress enough how much fun you will have either playing alone or with friends, for it is totally awesome no matter how you play it. It is so diverse in the fact that one moment you can be fighting for your life in a zombie infested sewer, and the next you can be falling out of a blimp wearing nothing but a cap, and waving a rocket launcher about. And as at the time of writing this review, the game is still only in a state of early access. I have very high hopes for Amazing Frog. This is by far the best game I have ever played. The beautiful world of Swindon really comes alive in this one of a kind, open world sandbox game. Despite the games amazingly life-like graphics, it is still cable of running on many mid range machines. It also has an amazing story line to match, as well as fun and immersive gameplay. This game is the perfect mixture of frog farts and sharks you never new you needed to complete your life. The Amazing Frog? succeeds in being a fun-to-explore sandbox experience. While I was standing watching — and later playing — the game, I got to see people chased down by sharks, vehicles flung into the air and people making hilariously clumsy jumps from rooftop to rooftop. As a four-player co-operative experience, which it is (but I didn’t get to play), it already looks good enough for a ridiculous level of fun.
