Artisan TD Video Game Join the Artisan’s Guild! In Artisan TD, you’ll set out to conquer the Archipelago of Chaos. Build tower mazes to free the souls of magical warriors corrupted by the TITANS. Discover new towers and monsters as you embark on an adventure that will take you through 30 unique maps. It’s a good game. Great graphics, good layouts and a variety of enemies and towers. It is complete and polished. Here is more for those deciding whether to get it or not. In the game you build your towers to create a path for your enemies to follow – a maze builder type of TD. The longer the path, the better your chances of winning. New towers are made available as you progress, to deal with new enemies. There are three modes translated to “easy”, “medium” and “hard”. The medium mode works quite well, but you can back down to easy and try again, if you have trouble. You get 1 to 3 stars depending on how many lives you have left at the end.
place walls to create a maze, place towers on top of the walls, and defeat enemies. It’s really just a very simple maze-style TD. There is only one route to upgrade the tower, and there is no upgrade branch (maybe. Maybe there will be something in the latter half of the game?). There is also no system to permanently strengthen the tower using stars obtained by clearing stages. There are also no active skills common to TDs, such as direct targeting and bombing. There’s no infinite mode either. The only system is a buff/debuff system for floor tiles. In a maze, guiding an enemy over a sandbox will slow down the enemy’s movement speed, and forcing an enemy to walk on lava will cause them to take damage. Also, towers on certain tiles do double damage (although this is not an unusual system). Created by a small independent team, handcrafted with passion and precision. Artisan TD features no random, computer-generated waves.

It is a somewhat simple game, which limits the enjoyment. There are no “heros”, “research” or “emergency field weapons” The lack of “research” is particularly damaging (this is your ability to get more powerful weapons, or universally increase firepower, range etc.). The stars you get have no reward value. This reduces the motivation to do better. The in-game tower upgrades are also limited. Still, it is good for many hours of entertainment. Use the maps’ topography and special tiles to optimize your maze. Artisan TD is a Tower Defense with maze construction at the heart of its gameplay.
