But first, Marie must strive to improve her alchemy skills, collect ingredients, and earn money to hire adventurers and buy recipes and utensils… Add all of that to the synthesis, battles, and quests she must undertake, and it’s clear that she has a lot to do before she’s ready for her exam! It’s up to you to choose where to begin! Work hard to graduate from the Academy, but be sure to enjoy yourself along the way. Updated graphics! Marie and friends brought to life with the latest technology! Character designs and event illustrations have been revamped, and 2D animations have also been introduced in the remake.

With the new Unlimited Mode, which allows you to play at a more relaxed pace, and the addition of new events that enable interactions with new characters, you can further enjoy the world of “Atelier Marie.” it’s quite fun and comfy! if you’re coming from atelier sophie and/or ryza, you’ll notice that the combat and alchemy in this game is much more basic. atelier marie also has the series’ trademark time limit, although there is an option to turn this off for a more leisurely playthrough if that’s what you’d prefer.

Not too far into the game just yet but i haven’t run into any issues. the game looks and runs great and the soundtrack is amazing as always. i was surprised that the chibi style models fit in so well with the game, too. all in all, a faithful and lovely remake of the original 1997 release. i would recommend atelier marie to anyone looking to get more enjoyment out of the series! The deluxe version also comes with the original game, bonus outfits(just recolors) and a lot of Atelier and Koei BGM music. The game models are all chibi style but somehow it works rather wall, with visual novel style cutscene with regular character models.
