One of the highlights of the world is its unrestricted exploration – you can travel anywhere, even scaling the highest mountain peak. Additionally, sand surfing is extremely satisfying. I play more, but my first impressions are that the first 90 minutes are an absolute slog. The writing might as well not be there as it’t not really adding anything to the world yet. But once you get all the basic abilities, it starts to play pretty well The characters are unique and interesting. I recommend this if you’re looking for a casual game to enjoy. The story is reminiscent of Stardew, yes, but there are just enough changes that I don’t spend my time playing comparing the two in my head. I’m just immersed in this beautiful, vibrant island, doing my chores, talking to people, diving, mining, foraging.

I’ve been playing exclusively co-op with my partner and it’s been my favorite gaming experience of the summer. I can’t recommend enough if you are looking to build a community together with some friends. I liked how the game is rewarding. You feel like you make a difference in the world. Well, you actually make ALL the differences I think. There are npcs that do, too. I love the npcs they are cute and funny. You can choose to collect materials and then upgrade your weapons to fight bosses, or you can sit on the beach and fish all day, just like me. At first I always died easily, but then I gained experience and tried to take on the challenge of defeating those little bosses.
