Every decision in Atomic Picnic can lead to a radically different build and playstyle. The more upgrades you pick and combine, the stronger you become. Every run is unique! The game is still being developed, but we want to encourage everyone to participate! We have an active Discord server and would love to hear your feedback and questions! So far it feels a bit uninspired and bland. Crab Champions far outpaces this game for gunplay and build crafting and its half the price. I’m hopeful they will add more but currently there is only like 10 perks you can even get in a run so it all feels pretty repetitive. It has good bones, if they can expand on it they will have a good game but currently it needs quite a bit of work before release. the bugs are manageable, its early access game afterall.

But its not bringing a whole lot to the table so far. I gave it a Thumb down at first, but changed it to up for now. I want this to succeed, but so far its missing the mark. Game needs a bit more time in the oven. Maybe it’s a skill issue but it just seems impossible unless you get certain builds, especially in the later levels. I do think the only real gripe I have is the areas that you’re forced to stand in, since you not only have to fight a million enemies at once, but the area is constantly bombarded with missiles. This game doesn’t have that. Instead, from what I’ve seen, you can only play with your friends. While that’s not a big deal if you have a few friends that have this game, it sucks if you’re the only person who has it, meaning you have to go at this one alone.
