For example, a running back will cut inside his blockers while doing an outside run and get far fewer yards than he could have, or a blitzing linebacker will try to run through a gap that isn’t open. I’ll say though that I really like the franchise mode and create a team. I also like that you can choose to do just play calling and not directly control any player since almost no games out there today actually allow you to do that. Creating a team has a ton of options and choices. The franchise mode is where it’s at though. Playing English Football type of leagues w/ relegation and promotion? Count me in. Throwing in there are random teams and players (no NFL license) and it just feels fun. Less RNG fantasy football and more just football. I actually hope they don’t add NFL players. A lot of money for little gain. There is budgeting (unless you turn off the financials), upgrades you can do for morale, hell, there’s a full morale piece in general. The play calling is fairly simple, I really like the game plan option which allows your team to focus on different parts of the game during the game. There were 2 total things that actually annoy me (but won’t stop me from playing, I’ll just gripe about it haha) which are the kicking arrow (you can’t see how high or low it is actually aiming, there definitely needs to be more depth so you know what you’re kicking I can’t blame them for my lack of knowledge, but I don’t think I can cut my football teeth on this game. If I was smarter I would probably love it.
