Stack up on Core Enhancers to augment your equipped core capacities and unleash their full potential. Defy the Overlords to the sound of blazing, adrenaline-pumping rock music that will have you dive head-on and fist-first into the action. A fantastic Roguelite, with fluid mobility, very good variety of upgrades and weapons (each with their own perks), and a very colorful and distinguishable art style. Although it is early-access, so there are balancing and optimization problems, but the base is incredibly entertaining and complete. It’s totally worth it. I was so excited to see a game that adapts the art direction of Megaman, a childhood favorite into one of my new favorite genres, roguelite FPS! I think the devs have struck gold with the combination, the game offers a unique blend from its inspirations and nuances, from art to gameplay and mechanics. This is one of the few games in the specific genre that tries to elevate the formula.
Battle Shapers Direct Play:
COMBAT EXPERIENCE is overall fun, what I’m most eager about is the variety of abilities, which is inspired from hero shooters like Overwatch. While I haven’t unlocked much, I hope the devs consider more unique ones like shield, saber, other elements like ice, traversal abilities like hook, flight, and so on. Weapons on the other hand also feel good, I have unlocked 8/20, and I’m craving for more, I sure hope the rest play more uniquely. One common feedback I’ve been seeing is how bosses have way too much damage, while I haven’t upgraded yet enough to play fair with the bosses, what I actually notice is an underlying issue, that there’s a need for improvement on reaction effects. It’s easy for one to not notice how much of your armor and health is being depleted, I hope warning colors visual effects, sound, motion like camera shakes and staggers to be enhanced, to make these important moment-to-moment experiences become more apparent.
